I have 4 children, my oldest is 14. I have been coming to Dr. A for 13 years. He is kind, funny, and nice. But......looks can be deceiving. After telling him I wasn't going to get my two children x-rays, his whole demeanor and attitude changed. I told him I don't feel it is necessary to subject my children to unnecessary radiation. If one of my children was experiencing a problem, then sure. Take an x-ray. But routine x-rays.....no. It's all about money. He proceeded to tell me he wouldn't feel comfortable going that long without x-rays, (it had been 3 years), and he explained the legality part of it, which I completely understand. I said I was willing to sign a form stating I wouldn't hold him, or his office responsible. He then told me, there is no form! Really?! So type one up! It's your practice! I could tell he was not going to see eye to eye with me, so I just shut up, sat back and let him do his little rant. I told him, look, I'm here for a routine cleaning. That's it. If you're not going to clean my children's teeth, I will leave. He leaned forward, shook my hand and said it was good to see you. And that was that. 13 yrs. Of coming to him, 3+1 pts. I referred to him, and just like that, goodbye. It really bothered me. I loved Dr. A, but I love my children more, and I'm not going to subject them to unnecessary radiation, when I don't know what their future has in store for them. Goodbye Dr. A.
Lately, however, this place is like a used car dealership. They try and sell you on X-Rays at every appointment. Nobody needs X-rays every six months, especially kids. When we refused he actually got pissed and visable irritated, and emphaicatically and repeatedly tried to sell us on superflous x-rays. Now, if this happened once, I would let it go, but it has been every time for the past few years. I think he is trying to get us to pay for his big shiny new building. We have finally had enough and switched to another dentist. I would probably still take my kids here if they wern't so pushy.
The office is beautiful and the staff and hygienists are great, however Dr. Armanzi is a crook that over books himself everyday to get all of the government insurance money. We waited 45 minutes during the summer just to have my daughters teeth checked after a cleaning. Then we were running 10 minutes late for a special apt to get her tooth fixed and he refused to see us. I will never take my kids back there again.
We have been giong here for 10 years. We have always loved this office. In the past I would have definitely recommended Dr. Armanazi. I used to say that he is amn who is doing exactly what he is meant to do in life.
My children and I LOVE Dr. A. and his staff! I've always been treated in a friendly manner by everyone in the office. His staff is always helpful in explaining things; whether it's an insurance question or a question about my childrens' teeth. Every time we walk into the place; we are made to feel welcome. My kids don't want to leave!!
I've never been spoken to or treated more condesendingly by a doctor or dentist in my life. I got a second opinion, and quickly learned that you pay for the fancy office. I would shy any paren't I know from bringing their child here.
