Seems they are out of stock on the most common items (like 90 deg 1/2" plumbing fittings, wire etc.... I could go on but.....).
-Occasionally items that show as "In Stock" on the website... aren't.
This Lowe's was quite nice. I always enjoy the smells of pine in the air and a few retrieved memories along the way. Today while searching for a three inch bolt and nut to match, I saw some chicken fence, 1/2 in by 1/2. It looked to be of good quality. This made me think of a time some 3 weeks back when a baby chick got its head caught and I helped it. Overall very nice visit.
But when I did ask everyone was friendly and helpful.
Needless to say I, set my purchase down, left and went to Home Depot where I was greeted with a smile, hello from everyone, each employee I came in contact with asked I needed help and did not run away or look the other way. Multiple registers were open, and I was in and out in no time with what I needed, not a substitute of what would get me by.
Today I had an employee who is standing talking to another employee near the registers (not in line) as I got in line to check out (I am a pro at the pro counter. Note: Chrissy who works here normally is great but she must have been on a break) and he looks at me and said oh I was next, and gets in front of me with his pop, chips and candy bar.
I went in looking for help being a woman. I asked where the 12 ' deck board was and he pointed....so again I said I need help. Finally he figured it out. The man that loaded my truck was great! Though cheaper..next time I go to Home Depot...very easy to find assistance there.
If you do find somebody they only point you in the right direction where you might find what it is you're looking for, if they don't run away first (yes this happened to my wife the other day by 3 staff who looked at her and walked away quickly, finally she chased one down).
As soon as I walked in the store I was greater and asked if I needed assistance. Sadly I know generally where most things are at Lowe's and can get close to where I need to be.
-Truck rental is extremely hit-or-miss; really irritating when you need a truck and the two elderly people who rented it are standing there looking at magazines.
Have found some really great deals in the return cart and bought a scratch-and-dent fridge at a pretty respectable discount.
Talk to Joe or Richie, they are the nicest people I've ever talked to at a big-box store!
Usually have a pretty good experience here. Prices are competitive and usually items I want are in stock.
Don't waste your time or sanity..... Go to Home Depot, where they value you and your business.
Normally I might understand but I am the customer, your employee pop purchase can wait, I had 1 item to buy, the self check out lines closed and only 1 other register open. This is prime contractor time, we need to get in and get out to make money, if it wasn't for us they might not have a job there.
This store is getting worse, nobody seems to want to help you. Employees stand around and talk to each other but never once acknowledge you or ask if you need help. (Been going to this store for 10 years..... The last year it's only when I have no other option.)
