Extremely mediocre pizza. The crust is chewy (in a bad way), thin, with the impression of not being properly proofed. The edge is coming out generally flat, not the nice, bready edge crust you expect from Papa Johns.
I didn't like the way they handled the situation. The pizza tasted fine, but absolutely nothing was done other than a half-hearted apology. The manager never came on the phone.
Ordered a pizza from them. It arrived, and on the box there was a promotion *printed* right on the lid - if the Indians win by 5 or more runs, you get half off your pizza the next day. Well, the previous day, the Indians had won by more than 5 runs... and when I ordered, nobody informed me of this promotion. Yet they delivered a pizza to me that advertised it. I called the store and the employee said that he was sorry, and that they should have informed me. He spoke with the manager, and the manager said it only applies to online orders and not orders that have been phoned in. The employee went on to say there was nothing they could do for me, because the order was already processed in their system. Really? And it's not like their pizza is all that cheap. It was $16 for one large pizza.
I've been doing business with this particular Papa John's location on and off for many years. They've messed up before, including forgetting to deliver my pizza altogether once (this was a few years ago). This instance was the last straw for me - I won't be back.
Papa johns does it again. The pizza they made for me was absolutely perfect. The crust was just right. The cheese was just right the toppings laud out well. And the delivery driver did an awesome job. Keep up the good work you guys. And they do in fact deliver to truck drivers as they did deliver to me in my semi. Thanks papa johns.
Just generally *not* good. I doubt we'll give this company our money again.
My husband and I are both former employees of this company (in Indiana), and know how Papa Johns *should* present. This is not what we've come to expect from this company. If the company has changed its formulation, they need to change it back. I suspect that the dough is not proofing properly and that the employees aren't well trained in how to stretch and toss the dough.
Pizza is one of the things in life I take very seriously and Papa John's has been my favorite franchise pizza source since I was a kid. Lately I've experienced a rash of poor telephone customer service from other pizza stores, but tonight I ordered a pizza from the Mentor Papa John's and my faith in pizza delivery service has been restored. Steve took great care me and he made sure I had everything I needed for my pizza and wings. He is an excellent representative for Papa John's and I'll be sure to order from them again when I find myself in need of a late night pie.
