Don't send your kids there. They may end up committing suicide, because bullying is applauded there.
My teachers were a diverse group. A few were barely there. Some were amazing and approachable, willing to help me with whatever I needed to see me succeed. Some of them were somewhere in between. My guidance counselors did their job, too, and my unit principal was incredible. Other students were scared of her, but as long as you followed the rules, she was a real friend.
The facilities were satisfactory, and I’ve heard they’ve been updated since I was there, so current students have an even cleaner and more modern school. I rarely ate school lunches but they looked okay at the time (though school lunch laws were different back then). All in all, it was a good campus.
Watch the documentary "Mentor" its free for prime members on Amazon. The entire staff should be fired and charged; DISGUSTING human beings. I feel for the families that lost there loved ones due to unchecked bullying. #Stop Bullying!!
I currently go here, and it's amazing!! We all are one, big, happy family :) Mentor High has a ton of activities, such as Speech and Debate, Science Olympiad, and even a bible study group! Plus, Mentor has all the athletics! The teachers are amazing, and they care so much about you. You just gotta ask! You'll always find a friend here; you'll never be alone. I know that Mentor High has had a bullying problem in its past, but that rarely happens around here due to all of the changes, and when it does, there's always someone who's got your back. And, hey, who wants a free Macbook?! Mentor is amazing. I'm so proud to be a Cardinal.
I actually attended MHS, so this rating is based on a real-life experience. I was bullied some. Why? Probably because I was a teenager surrounded by teenagers and that’s unfortunately how it works. Overall, high school really wasn’t so bad.
I had typical teenage girl body image and the kind of attitude that you’d find anywhere. My circle of friends was small but supportive, I was a huge choir geek, and I had great opportunities in the musical theater department where I got to hone my classical singing skills; I’ll never forget those experiences.
I love Mentor and even though I go to Eastlake North now, I will never stop loving this school. I give it 5 star 100% Love for the district in general
I had a pretty run-of-the-mill high school experience with highs and lows like any other high school, which I know because I had friends at lots of other high schools and we all had a lot in common. I don’t know why people hate this place so much. Teenagers suck across the board, plain and simple. But most of us got into trades or college and that’s the main point of school, so why complain so much?
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF MY REVIEW: I would like to point out that when I was bullied inside the school building, I reported it to my unit principal and a couple of the security guards and they addressed the problem right away. They didn’t sweep it under the rug and tell me to get over it. They took it seriously and it eventually stopped.
